Cooperation between National Audio Company Inc. and Revox Group
New: Exclusive audio cassette production at the Revox Manufacture in Villingen, Germany Villingen, September 2025 – The US-based National Audio Company Inc. and the Swiss audio company Revox Group cooperate for a premium production of music cassettes and empty cassettes worldwide.
The goal of this alliance is to offer cassette as a medium for high-quality playback and recording on the audio market. In order to achieve this, both companies bundle their market-leading expertise and experience of decades in National Audio’s cassette production and Revox’s manufacturing of audio systems and music recordings such as master tapes. This allows you to experience analog sound with an audio cassette at home in the way it was recorded in the studio.
A cooperation for premium recordings and original analog sound
The connection between excellent audio know-how and highest premium manufacturing quality of music recordings creates the foundation of this alliance. For decades, Revox has been standing for first-class audio technology and innovative sound solutions. Collaborating with National Audio allows Revox to manufacture audio cassettes in addition to its master tapes. In doing so highest analog sound quality can be guaranteed and offered to music enthusiasts.For this reason, a production line for cassette tape by National Audio is being installed at the Revox Manufacture in Villingen, Germany. This allows to manufacture high-quality audio cassettes on site.
Due to this cooperation, Revox becomes market-leader for empty cassettes as well as music cassettes and operates one of the largest cassette production plants in Europe. The resulting range of products consists of our own music portfolio under the brand REVOX | Horch House and the possibility to offer labels, original equipment manufacturers and artists high-quality products.
Revox is the only supplier who has three different cassette tape qualities on offer, including Type II Version (Chrome compatible). Through this cooperation with National Audio, Revox receives all product rights outside of North America. Nonetheless, Revox will be present with its range of products in North America
Highest manufacturing and sound quality also apply for the new cassette production
in order to fulfill Revox’s standards.
The cassette casing is specially manufactured for Revox in Europe. In combination with the manufactured cassette tapes, sound experiences are possible again which have not been available for decades from serial production.
Enticing music portfolio with a unique diversity of genres
In collaboration with a major music label, Revox prepares market entry for the fourth quarter of 2025. This market entry will show the relevance of audio cassette for high-quality music enjoyment. The joint distribution allows for fast availability through all channels.
