Prog-Rock Masterpieces Now Available on Master Tape

Dear master tape friends,

today we have two albums from legendary progressive rock bands for you. Jethro Tull and SAGA need no further introduction for fans of this genre. In case you are not as familiar with their music, read on to find out more about two very important albums in music history.

Jethro Tull - Living With The Past: Live

With this sensational live collection, recorded at London's Hammersmith Apollo among other venues, Jethro Tull document their glorious career.

Jethro Tull is one of the most successful and influential prog rock bands of all time. Driven by Ian Anderson's distinctive flute and wonderfully composed melodies, they have explored a variety of genres and styles since their formation in 1967. “Living With The Past” is a sensational live collection that showcases the band at their best. The recordings are taken from the 2001 tours of the UK and the US and offer a representative selection from Jethro Tull's entire oeuvre. A special highlight is the unique reunion of the original Jethro Tull line-up from 1968. “Living With The Past” is an indispensable collection for every Jethro Tull fan. The live recordings are rousing and energetic, and the reunion of the original line-up is a real treat for fans of the early band.

SAGA - Worlds Apart

Worlds Apart is the fourth studio album by Canadian neo-prog band Saga and was originally released in 1981 and the USA 1982. The album was produced by Rupert Hine and has been released with several different covers. Frontman Michael Sadler stated in the band's video DVD Silhouette (2002) that Hine told him to stop "singing like a choir boy". Sadler's vocal style was noticeably different on Worlds Apart than on the first three Saga albums as he kept that style in successive performances with the band. Hine reportedly had Sadler climb to the roof of the English barn where the band was recording in order to get the proper emotion from Sadler for "On the Loose".
