WITH PASSION FOR MUSIC
Horch House was created in 2012 by music lover and audiophile Volker Lange. Lange’s passion for audio tape machines with their vastly superior sound quality led him to seek out increasingly high quality tapes, only to discover that there were very few sources available worldwide.
So an idea was born and Lange set out to investigate how he could get his hands on original analogue masters and legally reproduce them to the highest level of quality possible, not only on tape but also in vinyl and digital formats.
Key to this goal is freelance master sound engineer Christoph Stickel (www.csmastering.de), who pioneered, and continues to manage, the signature Horch House ‘soft refurbishing’ process.
Stickel’s track record and current client base are impressive, including Sony, Universal, Deutsche Gammophon and major high quality jazz label ECM.
Completing the Horch House team are technician Dominik Hofer
and graphic artist Maren Hofman-Lange.
